The object of Automated Information System „The improved monitoring system of avian influenza and other infectious diseases” is the activity related to the evidence and registration of all forms of manifestation of the infectious process in the Republic of Moldova, as well as monitoring the epidemiological situation in the country.

The main objects of IS evidence are:
  • The cases of infectious diseases both of human (individual and collective) and animal origin, which are recorded in the IS through documents: paper documents, electronic documents that are transmitted to the IS (from outside) from the external carriers;
  • Directions to laboratory analyses and their results.
AIS provides:
  • Centralized evidence of singular data about all the cases of infectious diseases in the country;
  • Centralized evidence of messages about the infection hearth by persons;
  • Centralized evidence of messages about cases of infectious diseases by animals and birds;
  • Creating a unique database of cases of infectious diseases;
  • Operative data flow to the interested services;
  • Achieving operational and retrospective analysis of the epidemiological situation.
AIS realizes:
  • Periodic preparing of informational and analytical materials for conducting operational analysis of epidemiological situation;
  • Periodic preparing of informational and analytical materials for executive bodies;
  • Compiling the state statistical evidence.
The project included delivery services, installation, operative acceptance and technical support for the implemented information complex, including:
  • Specifications development;
  • Development of IS;
  • Adaptation of IS (customization and application development, components integration, data migration from previous systems);
  • Creation of the Central Data Center;
  • Delivery and installation of hardware and network equipment in 101 territorial subdivisions;
  • Training users and administrators of more than 300 persons;
  • Ensuring maintenance through Call-Center;
  • Monitoring and reporting.
